Tongue scraper, stainless steel
Oral hygiene is not just about the mouth and teeth, the tongue is also involved.
The tongue has a rough surface, composed of asperities where bacteria and food debris can accumulate.
The tongue scraper mechanically removes bacteria responsible for bad breath, which can disrupt the oral microbiota, resulting in a noticeable imbalance in tongue color and sensitivity.
The tongue scraper is an accessory that guarantees fresh breath and a healthy mouth; it has existed since antiquity. Using this tool primarily helps combat halitosis – bad breath – and according to Ayurvedic medicine, it also helps strengthen the immune system by naturally detoxifying the mouth.
In addition, the tongue scraper acts on the natural self-regulation of saliva and thus contributes to better digestion.
While this tool is recommended to ensure a healthier mouth, it is also appreciated for its action on one of the 6 senses: taste.
After several days of use, the tongue is rid of the layer of food residue and bacteria, leaving the taste buds in full effervescence.
Instructions: Open your mouth wide and stick your tongue out as far as possible.
- Hold the tongue scraper with both hands, by its two ends. Place it at the back of the tongue and gently scrape the tongue from back to front.
- Repeat the action 3 to 5 times, rinsing the tongue scraper well between each pass.
- After use, rinse the tongue scraper with warm water and dry it. It is best to then store it in a case or drawer.
It is not necessarily required to use the tongue scraper every day of the year.
After an initial period of use lasting several days, you will quickly notice when your tongue needs it again (bad breath upon waking, white tongue, etc.).
